About the Art Therapist
My name is Christina and I am a qualified Art Therapist, having completed the Master of Art Therapy at La Trobe University (Bundoora Campus).
My clients are those who feel the need to work through an issue or issues which may be hindering them from living a fulfilling life. You may have a family issue, a mental illness, be going through a rough patch, or simply want to improve your quality of life.
I have also worked with people who have intellectual disabilities and children who have behavioural issues at school. I hold a Working With Children Check.
My experience involves both art therapy and counselling.

What is Art Therapy?
Art Therapy is the therapeutic application of image-making. More simply, involving yourself in the process of art-making as a form of therapy or psychological healing.
Art-making can be a non-verbal process. It is up to the client if they want to talk about what they are drawing or painting. Sometimes, talking about personal issues can be both threatening and confronting. By being involved in art therapy, a person can work through issues and talk only when they feel comfortable enough to do so.
In art therapy, no artistic skills are required. There are also no rules about art-making. Anything you do is fine and your artwork will not be judged.
